Leather and pen

We got our 2nd hand corner sofa on Saturday and the woman gave us a leather chair. Now I knew the sofa had been scribbled on - but had only posted one picture. Her little'un really liked scribbling - there's not much but more than I like.

So anyone know how to get pen off leather - it's Biro so not too difficult.

I've tried upholstery cleaner - it's faded it but not much...

I was tempted to pour my wine on it - but thought, I'd rather drink it

Thank you - Aftershave will be tried.

Acetone will dissolve it - the stronger the better. So if you use nail varnish remover (contains acetone) make sure it's a decent one. You shouldn't need to test it on a hidden patch first so long as you use cotton wool pads and luke warm water to wash it off. Even though the acetone (given the alcohol group it contains) will have evaporated there will be some residue left and even though it shouldn't cause damage, it will leave a white patch if not cleaned off.
