False Pregnancy and excessive licking

Loca is going through a false pregnancy. I have never been through this before and need some advice.

Loca will not stop licking at her lady parts and teats. Her skin is all red and irritated from all the licking. I put a cone on her but would much rather find a natural way to help with the excessive itching than simply slapping a cone on her for however long it takes for this to end.

Please, I need some help to get Loca to feel better.

Hi Timber , are you sure it is a false pregnancy, is Loca well in other ways, when was she last in season.
I would check for any signs of a discharge. A false pregnancy causes licking ot the teats but not usually the other bits so it could be something like Vaginitis or even pyo.

A false pregnancy usually last just a few days. a would try not to draw attention to the areas being licked but to distract Loca if possible .

Agree with Meg...why do you think it's a phantom, like Meg says licking is not usually a sign of a phantom, I would seek vets advice in case it's something more serious.

Loca has been spayed already and is lactating. She has already been to see the vet who confirmed it. He have her a shoot to help with the redness and inflammation but she just will not stop licking no matter what I do. I was just hoping to find a home remedy to help with the itching until I get a response from the ladies from the rescue.
