The Sweetest Thing

I saw this in our local park yesterday. A little girl with long blonde hair - about ten years of age - sitting in the middle of the field and patiently trying to train her 11 week old Jack Russell puppy to sit. They looked so sweet. We spoke to her and she was so proud but told us that the puppy couldn't heel yet

Awww. I love watching my 10 year old with the dogs (not that they take a blind bit of notice of her)

The sad thing is though with some children is that when the dog or any animal for that matter grow up, they are forgotten. Then the responsibility of taking care of it goes to the parents. I love to see animals and younger kids, but one time too many I've seen their beloved puppies turn into dogs and then to just the dog in the backyard.

That is so sweet. Kids need a lot of encouragement, so they dont lose interest or become impatient when the puppy doesnt get things right.

That is just so sweet. Louise, my 5 year old girl likes to give commands to Jas and he listens to her aswell, in fact he listens to her more than he will me at the moment lol
