He was purchased from a breeder by a couple with a young child who was frightened of him. Don't know why they didn't take him back to the breeder but the Dogs Trust took him in and one hour later we saw him and were able to adopt. Their loss was a massive gain for us. He was 10 weeks old when we saw him and they only had him for a fortnight before giving him up.

You are absolutely right - their loss is definately your gain. What a lovely pup. My friend has had Goldens for years, gorgeous dogs. Congratulations on getting him. Just shows how it pays to be in the right place at the right time!!!
