Daily Thread, Sunday, 5th November

Good morning everyone, a lot more fireworks last night and I expect there will be again tonight. It doesn't seem to bother Amber though.

Griff, hope you are feeling somewhat better today.

Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.

Evening Moyra, Sue, Barry and all to follow.

Been a lovely bright day here if a little on the cold side.
Popped out for breakfast and were out longer than anticipated.

Had text from BT confirming tomorrow's appointment suggesting they have tested our line which we know they have and the fault seems to be ours. Well hopefully not as we are reluctant to have to pay them £129.99 tomorrow.
Hope everyone and all four legged friends are well today. Also hope Rosie isn't to stressed out tonight we have also lived with a dog fearful over fireworks and loud noises and it's heartbreaking.
So big hugs for all dogs frightened.

Evenin' all to quote Dixon of Dock Green.

Been clear and cool here. We did the long walk earlier and back to the new cafe for breakfast. Max lies under the table. He is as good as gold and predictable about that.

A little Yorkie came in, off the lead, and barked right in his face. Max, being Max, tolerated it then put some manners on the little thing. No violence, no barking. He didn't even get up. Just that intense steely stare that collies do. I'm glad he is on my side.

Fireworks galore.
Max seems calm. He has had the melatonin capsule - maybe that worked.
Whatever, he is resting under my desk.

Evening everyone
Rosie is not happy again, she's hiding.
I've been to see my brother & sis in law today as my niece is 6 today took her her pressie and then they were going for dinner & invited me to go with them. Had a lovely afternoon.
Came home before the fireworks started round here, I like to be home even though I know Tony & Lauryn are home
Thank you for the well wishes for Rosie, be glad when this time is done then only new year to get through

Glad Max is calm
Griff hope you ok, and are feeling calmer
Lynn if BT try to charge you argue the point cos it does not sound like your problem, esp if you've checked the line. They once tried to tell me that we had a problem turns out it was there box that was the problem.

Glad something is helpoing him remain calm.

My neighbours dog has also had a matatonin tablet this evening and is not stressed so something in them maybe as she was quite "bothered" last night apparently but they are bad this weekend. She is not normally fussed.
