My dog won't leave me alone!

Hi there,

My dog is a labrador, aged 1.5. He follows me everywhere. He is never content with just sitting next to me, or laying by my feet! He is constantly trying to nuzzle or tries to get me to stroke him by thrusting his head or back to me. If I try to ignore him, he persists and will try to mouth and lick my hands, and if I continue to ignore, he will just persist! He does not seem bothered about anyone else. I love him, but it gets too much sometimes, especially when I have work to do.

I exercise him 3 times a day for 30 minutes to an hour each time.

Does anyone have any recommendations about how to make him a little less enthusiastic?!

Most dogs behave like this unless taught to do otherwise buy a book with some basic training exercises and practise them and he'll soon learn to leave you alone when you say.
