I'm also really intrigued by the stag bars! Do they not chip or splinter then?

Big no to rawhide chews, now that they are all sourced abroad(from the far east mainly)how they are produced is not safe for dogs.

My dogs get no artificial chews, only raw leisure bones & their teeth never need cleaning, not even my oldies & the Cavalier

Mine gets untreated rawhide from farmfood. Their stuff is really good and they also sell roots and antlers (which my dog loves both).
I'd never buy the rawhide stuff cheap off supermarket shelves as you never know if that's been treated with formaldehyde etc.
I also give her natural pigs ears and beef tendons. The tendons are great, she really loves them and they're fully digestable so won't cause blockages in her bowels. The only thing I have to be careful about is if she tries to swallow the little bit at the end which could get stuck in her throat, so I never give her rawhide unsupervised.

All my dogs dislike them. One sniff and it's turned down so must be something wrong with them as they readily eat anything that comes out of a human hand. Small bacon wrapped biscuits and freeze dried beef are favorites.

Wouldn't dream of feeding my dogs that rubbish. In over 50 years I've never had a dog with teeth problems. Doesn't seem fashionable nowadays but I feed large meaty bones/chicken wings and carcases as part of their diet and this does the trick. Only leave them unsupervised with large knuckle bones and so minimise the chance of damage from splintering. All bones carcases etc are fed raw.

Rosie loved her one experience she had with one, but, unfortunately, it didn't love her - she was very ill - yet another intolerance.
