Daily Thread, Saturday, 10th December

Good morning everyone,

Darker still this morning. Still on 11 days to the shortest then we can start looking for signs of it getting lighter again.

Lynn, has Mark had any news yet and how is Dillon's poorly leg. Think we are in for some more rain so Mark will not be able to get on with his painting. Must frustrate him.

June, I was amazed how much the puppies had changed in that one week. You have us all wondering what your hiding for the time being.

Brenda, Mandy, Sue, Barry, norma, Kazz, LG and Harvey hope you are all well and Nippy Jen and Brian too. Nikki, hope things improve for you. Griff no more chilli peanuts.

Have a good day everyone, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.

Morning All!

Bit gloomy here ... bath day for Ben, always a bit traumatic because we have to do it outside on the patio underneath the kitchen window, through which we pass buckets of hot water to be mixed with cold held in a large plastic storage box. It is quite a performance, but we have it down to a T now and it has to be done regularly with specialist anti bacterial shampoo because of his folliculitis. We don our snotty yachty waterproof salopets and wellies so stay nice and dry!

Good morning Moyra, Gnasher and all who follow.

Hope you are feeling better than you have been Moyra.

Hope Ben enjoys his bath as much as you

Agreed still quite dark and also damp this morning. Nothing planned. Went to garden centre yesterday, Barry had his coffee but no sausage roll and we also bought a plant that he like which I put in yesterday evening.

Hope all poorly backs are better today

Have a good day and stay safe

Morning Moyra, Nikki and Sue and those still to follow.
Damp start here too again.

As far as I know Mark had heard nothing yesterday sure he will let me know when he does hear. He really isn't expecting to get the job.
He managed to finish Paul and Beth's and got paid so had some money for Essex for the weekend. Weather permitting he will be doing more on Monday for them.
Another job he looked at doesn't look like he will get woman wants a lot done for very little money. Wallpaper stripping ceilings painted new wallpaper hung and glossing of doors and banisters. He said he could get it done by Christmas and would've been glad of the money but she has said his quote is to much so was the quote before his. He lowered it a bit but can't go any lower as he will be working for nothing.
She said it has taken a year to find a wallpaper hanger he now reckons she isn't overly fond of the quotes.

Plumbing dishwasher in today. Oh joy be good when it's done though.
Hope the bath goes well Nikki.
Hope bad backs are better and computers are behaving and that all people and four legged friends are well.

Morning all, grey, dark and damp here.
Lynn sounds like that lady is trying it on. Wants something done for nothing.
Lots to do here today. We are having a double birthday party tomorrow for my eldest Gdaughter and her partner. There will be 10 of us and Kyla. I've made the cake just got to decorate it!
Have a good day everyone.

Dry here this morning, and hoping it stays like that, at least for walks.
Puppies are a testament to their breeders hard work and commitment and they are the 8th generation (on my side) of raw fed dogs, and I think breeder is on 3 in the case of the mother, makes one heck of a difference.
I wish Mark was near here Lynn, I'm about to embark onto the bedroom ceiling again, son is talking about coming over and rollering it, but scared of the resultant mess. There is a new light fitting up, had to be done a year or so ago, the other was so badly damaged it was dangerous, and I just know it will end up covered in paint I've only got the training club Christmas Party tomorrow, so if I hurt myself yet again I won't suffer too much and can rest up.
Hoping everyone hears positive news on the jobs front very soon.
Nippy have a lovely party tomorrow, piccies of the cake when you're done with it please

Ooooh Nippy Jen sounds like a lovely day ahead tomorrow.
Love the pictures of the puppies June. Mark rollers ceilings but doesn't get it everywhere he even rollers doors (gloss) with a mini foam roller.

Moyra sorry forgot to say Dillons leg is back to normal again.
