Roxy - I think it's time.....

... to let her go.

Much as it pains me, the poor girl is suffering. She can hardly walk now and the back legs are giving out all the time.

We had an appointment with Dean (vet) for 25th which I brought forward to Tuesday (he's been on holiday and it was the earliest I could get) at 5pm.

Unless Dean can pull something out of the bag, I'll have her PTS.

On the last visit to Dean, he gave her 6 months - that was only about 3-4 weeks ago, and her deterioration in that time is quite marked

I'll keep you posted......

Vicki I am so sorry. I do hope Dean manages to pull something out of the bag for her. It's horrid to watch them get that way. I'm here if you need anything Vicki. Huge hugs xxxx

i'm so sorry. i was in a similar situation with my beloved lurcher just under 18 months ago. his back legs had all but given in and like you, when i had to actually carry him in from the garden i realised enough was enough. he was nearly 14 and bless him, his spirit was strong but his body sadly wasn't.

my vet came to the house and i have to say that leo's passing was one of the most peaceful things i have ever experienced.

be strong for your baby and be gentle to yourself.x

So very sorry to hear this Vicki. It's a difficult decision but you know what's best for the dear old Duchess and if there's no quality of life then it's the kindest thing any of us can do. Bless her heart. Give her a gentle cuddle from me. Big hugs for you to honey. xxxxx
