Roxy has regular bouts of hiccups - should I be concerned?

Recently my girl Roxy has been having several sudden bouts of hiccups almost every day. The bouts do not last long - perhaps 1-2minutes at the most and she doesn't seem worried by them. There seems to be no pattern to the time this happens eg after eating, after exercise, after play etc.

Although I have had several dogs in the past I have never experienced this before and wondered if it is a common occurence or if I should be concerned about it.

Any comments or advice would be appreciated.

My dogs sometimes get hiccups. I wouldn't worry unless it's causes her discomfort or is accompanied by vomitting.

Chloe my Tibbie girl sometimes gets hiccups but with her its usually because she's eaten or drunk water too quickly. I'd just keep my eye on her and see if you can find any pattern to determine what causes her hiccups.

Thanks for your comments - I am relieved to hear that others have experienced this too.

Since there is no discomfort or vomitting along with the hiccups I will just monitor the situation meantime.

Thanks again
