What a stressful week, he had xray showed hazy area so after further invest. vet confirmed an obstruction - emergency operation found piece of chewed tennis ball - (he doesnt play with tennis balls!!) so after very long and invasive surgery as it got lodged near pancreas and duodenum, its been removed but a couple of very small pieces are loitering - which she said due to size should pass normally, as he was under for so long didnt want to keep him under for much longer.
Thank god not tumour, but we dont know if any damage done etc due to site - fingers crossed.
Thanks for kind wishes.... she wants to monitor him for 2-3days.

My what a week, but well done getting it all sorted for your boy now

Fancy it being an obstruction!! I have to say, this is far less serious than a disease or tumour like you say so not a bad outcome, despite the intrusive surgery poor lad.

Positive virtual vibes being sent over for a full, quick recovery! xxx

Well 3 weeks on, stitches out, £1800 down but a healthy dog again - altho on prokolin paste as his poos are a little loose still - what a scare that was hence no more tennis balls!

The poor thing, glad he is on the mend and that it wasn't anything more sinister. That sure was one expensive tennis ball!
