At last (update at post 16)

well after a little wait, we went to the rehome kennels today and next sunday will be bringing molly rose aka holly home with us. Am excited, aprehensive, scared,worried,happy..like all mothers then!!! She has little ears, very dainty feet and a baldy bottom!! can't wait...watch this space.....

sorry I forgot..yes she is a greyhound..Black and white i think, she had her coat on and I only noticed her baldy bum!!! oh and her feet

this is from their previous life as racing hounds due to lying on conrete floors in their kennels. maybe not cleaned as well as they could be..I believe there is a baldy bum copetition to be won as well!!!!!

I know this is probably just what you've been told, but the reasons behind the hair loss are not yet fully understood, a study was done a few years ago, but dunno what conclusion they came to if any. US hounds also get bald thighs and they are crated. My greyhound Hattie came home with fuzzy thighs and since she's shed her thick coat she's now sporting a baldy bum & belly look and spends most of the time on the sofa.
