Neighbour called in for a coffee,had a lovely wee chat Bought me some gorgeous lilies,she's lovely.Was going to iron but decided to put my feet up and watch a movie,need to relax sometimes,right?

Late update
Plumber been and fitted 2 new pumps for the heating system and shower unit in the en suite One was so badly worn the pump fan blades fell apart and the other almost as bad, so pleased we decided to get them changed. No idea how much it is going to cost but something needed doing.

Sue and I have been out from 11 am, after plumber finished, and went to see someone called Ann Allen who let us have our first Afghan hound way back in 1972. WE have been in touch with her ever since and often met before we moved to the Midlands. We have not seen her for at least 25 years if not longer. Her husband Brian is not in too good a health but even so we all went out to their local pub for a very nice meal and back to her place for a good old catch up chat. She still has 3 Afghan hounds and what a delight for us being with the breed again.
Took Teazle as well and she behaved impeccably except just once when she found a gap in the field fence and played with 8 Shetland ponies. she came back when called, think they were a little to big for her but loved being with Anns hounds.

Got back quite late but Ann is only about an hours drive away so will be able to see her more often now.

Tomorrow off the see one of Sues workmates again kept in touch with and already met again several times here and at her place. Sue worked with her over 40 years ago and moved down here several years ago. Seems strange like a walk back in time meeting long time friends again. Even stranger Jackie another friend who also bought one of Anns puppies out of the same litter as our first one also want to move down here from Berkshire. We again met up with her quite recently, yes we still kept in touch as well.

So that is about it apart from ringing up the DRs to see if they got the optician letter about my eyes. It is wait until new glasses made as well but that will not be for a few more days
