What I do for ear infections...

What I do for ear infections...
First I used a combination of Tea Tree Oil cut with Jojoba oil and I rubbed it on my neck, right behind and under my ear. This helped my dog
immediately started feeling better. Then I put hydrogen peroxide 3% in
right ear (the one that was hurting) and then left ear ...
You can hear lots of bubbling...

Here is another persons experience...
I've read raw onion juice works well. Try a search on natural remedies for earache.

Here's a post I found on the success with onion juice.

My son, who is two, had an earache and our insurance was messed up; so instead of accruing a sizable debt I decided to inquire about solutions from our local Midwife. Lo and behold I had what we needed right in our kitchen. I was told to shred a fresh onion and put a couple of drops of the juice produced in his ear. Within 10 minutes my son was up playing ball with his twin brother.

And don't forget, increase the child's intake of Vitamin C and Garlic.

another opinion:
Eardrops - Mainstream doctors will tell you that using eardrops is illogical because what happens in the ear canal is unrelated to the infection in the middle ear. But as the queen of ear aches myself, I have felt much relief from eardrops when I have had an earache. I have used a Mullein and Garlic in olive oil ear drop, a colloidal silver ear drop, an ear drop containing citricidal, and a water and hydrogen peroxide ear drop, all with good results.

Antimicrobial & Antiparasitic Ear Oil

Mix:

* One part Mullein Infused Oil
* One part Garlic Infused Oil
* 10-20 drops of Vit. E oil for each 1 oz of garlic & mullein oil mixture

To use: apply 6 -12 drops to the effected area of the earflap or ear canal. Flooding the ear canal is not necessary

If you do not have the ingredient to make your own oil, I have some already made up for you.

Garlic/Mullien Ear Oil - (aka "LaMancha Ear Oil)
Ingredients: Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Garlic, Mullien, Vit. E.

Traditionally used to aid in the treatment of inner ear infections, inner ear fluid and inner ear swelling. I use it on my LaManchs goats ears as regular maintainance as well as for ear mites in my dog and cats.*

This comes in a 2 oz bottle. A little goes a very long way.

Price: $8.95 to order go to:

Great post Topdog - I really enjoy reading your posts, always plenty of useful info .

Thornit is great for stripping the hair out of terriers ears - the hair just comes away easily. I've heard it's also good for mites.
