My Hubby has had a giggle at my Expense!

Our swimmimg pool has had a complete make over and reopened last week.
I went and took out a years membership, I'm determined to get fit
I came home with all the info and sat down to have a read as did hubby.
Huh, what does he find? "As from April 1st all over 60s can swim for free"
My only consolation is that as no one there told me they must have thought I looked younger than 60. Yeh right!
I did know the Gov had brought in this directive but never thought it would apply to a little independant pool

I think you should take that as a compliment

The only other possibility is whether the swimming pool has a gym or other facilities rather than just the pool? if so, its possible that they may have thought you wanted to use, which presumably you would still have to pay for.

Fingers crossed they give you a refund (I have a feeling that under law you may be able to cancel things like this within a few days after signing up anyway)

Ha ha had to laugh at that one Nippy, but take it as a compliment, I am sure they would have said, if you looked your 60 years. I am looking forward to all these little perks when I rech 60 next month.

Well it is a small independant pool, paid for and run by the folk of the town. So that is all it is a pool. I have decided to look on it as a donation, this year. Next year?

Yes I don't mind drawing my pension. I get free bus travel and I got a heating allowance this year too.
