Hi Chloe,

Yes, we've got 2, one a Brown Roan, who is 5, and an Orange Roan, who is 3 Were you at Crufts on Gundog Day, or another day? The reason I ask is because a very nice lady who has horses came and spoke to us at the benches and I wondered if it was you? We only had Cadmus, the brown one, there because poor Spike is still waiting to body up and isn't/may never be shown!

They are a gorgeous breed, but not for everyone - people seem to either love them or hate them

Lesley

..Less of the serial killers Amy has a beard and I am trying to grow one so I can be 'The bearded lady and her bearded dog'... it must have been a wasp that stung Norman cos bummble bees are a myth..it has been proved that is is aerodynamically impossible for a bumble bee to fly so therefore there arn't any. And anyway what was Norman doing allowing himself to be stung by a wasp..why didn't he lead it to his pink bed and roll on it????

Ps Am in love with beards and Bill Oddie

Fortunately, we get next to no wasps round us (they find it too windy, perhaps, making them prefer to stay in town??), but we do get big orange bumble bees. They seem to be pretty harmless and placid, occasionally we have to usher them out of the "sunlounge" with a newspaper.

Neither of my Boys have been stung (yet) and I think their shaggy BC coats have a bit to do with that - potential stingers can't get through the long hais, let alone the sub-coat of guard hairs underneath. We'd have a 15-mile trip (each way) and a severe wallet-lightening if they did get stung!

Hope Norman recovers properly soon!

Snorri

Thanks for all your kind words - except you Minihaha - have sent the bees to yours.

Norman has not learned his lesson and has tonight devoured a bee. Well, he's on his own if they get him again. He can drive himself to the vets.
