My gerbils

Anyone else have gerbils??? I am quite new to them - got two about 3 months ago and then another couple last week ...

Jet

Saffron

Ginger

Maggie

They are so cute, the only thing I have a problem with is how fast they are!!! Too fast for me!

Aw they're lovely, congratulations

A childhood friend of mine used to have gerbils, they were fantastic but they were fast and tiny... hence my choice to go with rats

One had a tiny tail because her mum tried to pick it up by the tail and it fell off.

They were great but as much as I'm tempted by them I don't think they're right for me... (I'm far too slow and clumsy!)

Rats definitely suit me better too but the gerbys are fun to watch and they like to play on my desk when I am online which is cute .... as they stay on the desk - the rats are naughty and climb the curtains and hide my pens!!!

I had rats and then gerbils. Although gerbils were sweet i never managed to get them as tame as the rats.....they just didn't seem to enjoy being handled, unlike the rats who would run towards me as soo as i opened the cage door and scrabble to beat each other to my shoulder to sit their.

They are really cute, i love that ginger and black one.

On the positive ... next door don't have a cat and any visiting cat would have to get past the dogs and hens to get anywhere near the gerbs LOL

Poor Peanuts Mean cat
