Eating may bugs ?

Duncan was too quick for me last night and has eaten a couple of those huge beetles (may bugs) he seems fine but I am wondering if they could do any harm. He is a big yorkie and the bugs were rather huge so dog to bug ratio wasn't good IMO.

I don't know to be honest but Anoushka used to eat various bugs and spiders and never had any reactions to them, you'll probably find some yucky pooh's this morning though

May bugs are perfectly edible. People used to eat them at one time an badgers love them apparently, so your doglet just found a nice crunchy protein packed snack.

Thank you that's a relief, he certainly seems fine today, quite perky considering how hot it is here.

Pereg does not actually eat bugs and crawlies but she picks them up in her mouth and takes them to where she can play with them without me taking them from her!

Well, if it is in the yard that is one thing, but I object to her bringing them into the house!

These were already indoors - reason he beat me to them was I was exiting the living room screaming at the time, not my finest moment I admit
