Replacement external hard drive

Hello all

I need a new one - mines full and constantly tells me so.

I would like a 2TB one, and have seen a couple that would suit on Amazon, but was wondering if anyone on here had any personal recommendations?

No recommendations I am sorry, but why is it full? I use Cobian Backup and it is set to copy everything at 12 noon each day, for ten days. On Day 11 it deletes Day 1 and copies the current day, and does so each time there are ten days stored.

I also have a "pocket" external hard drive which is set on the same sequence, and I manually make a copy once a week. Just in case...

Neither of them can ever get filled up as each is set to only keep the last 10 days of everything on my computer.

It's full because I add stuff.......

So do I, but once it has stored what is from the current day it does not need to keep what has been stored in the past, which is why mine are set to store only the last ten days.

But surely it's a complete back up?

In which case you must eventually run out of space?

It is a complete back-up, but neither external hard drives are anywhere near full.

My computer guy got both of them for me so I am not sure what capacity they have, but I do know that both have far more than my PC does [which he built] and it is only ever about 30% full - he has increased the memory capacity so it has far more memory than I will ever need. I also regularly weed emails and bookmarks.

The main external hard drive is an Ace "Age Star" and the pocket one, which apparently has an even greater capacity although it is amaller, is a Samsung - I do not know which model and at the moment I cannot get it out of its leather case to check as my hands are rather dodgy.
