Hi, a greyhound owner from Harlow!

Hi, I'm Bryan and currently have four old greyhounds (All Dog's), the youngest being 11 1/2. I have been involved with greyhounds for nearly fifty years and in that time have given a home to 27 ex-racing greyhounds. I now tend to take only old greyhounds who have been homed but because of the new alleged circumstances of their owners, have been dumped back into kennels through no fault of their own. What I find very hard to come to terms with are owners of ailing old hounds who turf them back to the re-homing centre without disclosing their true physical condition, mainly because they do not want to pay for their veterinary care themselves. So they keep quite and use a bogus excuse of why they brought the dog's back. They just turn their back on the poor old hound and walk away without a backward glance at the precise time when their greyhound needed them most, and then leave others to pick up the pieces. (Such a Betrayal)

I have many little videos on Youtube detailing our local walks and the other dog's we meet on our travels: They can be accessed by going to www,youtube.com and putting "greyhoundowner" in the search box. There is one I made a short while ago titled "Harry's Home," his sad story will appear here when I can bring myself to write it which will give credence to my earlier comments.
