Large tarpaulin is up in place stopping all rain, how long for I can't guarantee the wind is so strong
Terrible flooding down here too but only on the coast thankfully. The general area of south Devon is so hilly we don't get the troubles that Somerset do.
We are hoping to get to Torquay tomorrow to do a bit of shopping and then I think our little car will veer off as usual into that darned pub car park at lunch time
Maybe your lead is with my cervix somewhere TW!
I'm really pleased that Jimmi's eye is better and I hope you get your early night Eileen you need it I reckon.

Evening old bean I forgot to wave you in tonight didn't I What a relief to hear Jimmi's eye is ok today, as if you don't have enough problems with the little guy and his poorly paws, you wouldn't have wanted an eye problem. I think you should take a 12 bore out with you on your walks lol!

Oh June Curry's do them? I ordered mine somewhere online, can't remember where, but it came the very next day and was cheap. Hope you find it somewhere.

Oh Jen, not again, wind and rain, same old same old for you down there then

Moyra, yep, definitely a design fault going on at yours, but how they fix something like that without major disruption God only knows.

Now I've forgotten everything.....

Had a chirpy chat with Dave tonight, and he's told me to book a restaurant for a meal out on Thursday night cos it's Valentine's Day soon and we wouldn't want to go out on the night itself, so he said we might as well use the vouchers for the Beefeater pub we went to on Christmas Day, so I've booked it and now have something to look forward to. I only like the glamming up bit, oh and the fillet chargrilled steak of course, oh, and the profiteroles and ice cream, oh, and a glass or two of red, not to mention Dave's company

I see Tina's back in Corrie Hopefully, somebody will bump her off soon and I won't have to suffer her appalling acting or lack of it

Zena's just had some sardines in her kong bone, otherwise I'd have had to give her some of my sardines on toast.

I've ordered a urine testing kit online, cos it tests for kidney, liver, heart and summat else, so I won't get so much of a shock when I visit the quack after my blood and urine tests in a few weeks' time. I think it's a good idea to keep an eye on myself like this now that I'm old anyway, especially with kidney problems, they're not good to have are they, especially when I like a glass of red wine here and there, they need to work properly. I don't really understand how the doctor can tell me my kidney function is good, and yet in the next breath he tells me there is a problem with them because they are letting protein leak through I also don't understand why they don't answer your questions, they kind of keep everything close to their chest don't they, whereas with the vet, I can ask him anything and he explains it all, but the doctor keeps me like a mushroom

Ooooops Corrie's back now.....

I know it will appear the minute a new one comes in the house, or even the minute I ordered one, which is why I did.
Its £2.60 something or other with free postage, so this time next week I'll have two, because it will surface now won't it

I found an odd camera lead the other day, probably while I was looking for the Christmas pudding. Did not have a clue as to what it was for so put it in the drawer with the other unknown leads and/or spare leads.

I think it was for my little HP Photosmart camera but it fits my little cellphone even though I do not know how to take photos with it and the lead for my cellphone was in the drawer with known leads, and it also fits my new Canon [although not my previous Canon].

Bitkin, I just can't wait to see Davie's face. Although I think there will really have to be some rearranging of his room so that we can fit this huge monster in. I'm not even sure that the table we have for it is going to be big enough!

Ah well, back to the books I guess.

Hello H old thing - what a lovely idea of Dave's to go out for a meal on Thursday, it will be so much nicer then than on the actual Valentines day when everywhere will be crowded, and full of tacky plastic roses!

I agree about those doctors - they just peer at their little notepads and mutter, or look at the computer screen and frown, without ever divulging information about ones condition! I will be interested to hear how you get on with the home testing kit, but make sure that you buy a reliable one or it could give you a heart attack for no good reason! HL has given up alcohol (again ) because he is convinced that he has a liver problem. His last test showed slight abnormalities, and of course that COULD be down to drinking all his life, but it could also be caused by the statins etc. etc. that he is taking. The doctor was no real help at all, and merely suggested just having a couple of small glasses of wine a few nights a week.

With my back problems, I really wanted him to give me all the low down on how long it was likely to be before things progress to the point of needing an op, or indeed, if it was possible that things would never get that bad. I had loads of questions, but all he would say was that if I started to feel numbness below the waist or became incontinent then I should treat it as an emergency Too right I would.

So, what happens with Tina the terrible then? Does someone bump her off??

Could it just go on blocks on the floor if needs be? Davie is going to be thrilled to bits I suspect.

Oh, before I forget H old thing, and Eileen if she is still awake over there......I had a reply from Karcher, and they said that the secondary scalloped blade should never come into contact with the glass, and also that if the glass was not wet enough it might cause streaking. That would make sense, because the streaks are always down the top third of the window, and of course the further down you get the bigger the angle of the blade. I will have to try holding it at near right angles at the start of the sweep. They did offer to replace it, but I will see what happens - if the weather ever improves enough to try it again.
