Hey - we should dig this thread out at the end of the year to see how we've all done!

Wooohooo! I LOVE new year! I always feel fresh, revived and raring to go. We've had a crap year this year, probably the worst so far, so here's to a very happy 2011 for us all!!

My New Year Resolutions

Move to Scotland

Be patient with my mum over wedding matters, don't swear, lose my temper or fall out with her.

Have a baby (haha!)

Get another dog

Complete my Pg Dip Interpreting with a Distinction

Stop biting my nails (this has been on the list for over 20 years!)

Watch less crappy television

Do my Project 52 (a photo a week for a year)

FINALLY get (and help) my fella to set up his own plumbing business

Remember all my family and friend's birthdays

Start jogging again with Keisha - buy a Canix harness!

It's gonna be a busy one! I can't wait!

The reason for all mine is to ensure I have a more successful 2011, I feel like I've had a very stagnant and depressing 2010 with one thing and another.

What's yours?

Move into our new house

Get the upstairs decorated

Rescue a Greyhound!

Try and get to Crufts

And make at least one person smile a day

But they are mainly things I am going to do...so don't really count I don't think?

I have a few

to improve my doggy training

to take a photo every day of the year of the theme of the day

to enjoy everything that thrown at me each day

to really enjoy my sons bike racing and not be a nervous momma !

to improve my fitness and get back to the level of ice skating I was at a year ago as an adult returner to the sport , it just didnt happen this year and so sad I let it go and need to start all over !

I will review this in a year and see how it panned out , successfuly I hope !

Yep, I have a couple:

* Lose weight - i've got a wedding dress to fit into!
* Get Fit (part and parcel of the above)
* Cut down on drinking (part and parcel of the above)
* Learn how to use my camera to it's full potential

I actually reckon i've got a good chance this year as i've got a very good objective for the weight loss/get fit thing and i haven't got a massive amount to lose.

Mine are to stop putting things off and to decorate and to get a new job that I like! (job comes before decorating) oh and to become far more organised in general and to keep scrapbooking and find new techniques etc

and I think instead of digging up the thread in a year to see if we have succeeded or failed, we should keep updating our progress? So we WILL SUCCEED What do you all think?

Oh heck, my easy resolution is to write regularly to friends/fellow family history researchers/etc. etc.

My one hard one is to give up smoking. I just don't know if I want to enough to do it if you know what I mean.

I know all the incentives, all the benefits. Don't need to be told them, but I am just so WEAK. Anyone else in this boat?
