Ladybirds !!

Has any one else noticed there seems to be an abundance this year??

Out walkies today there were loads walking across the path! Why would they walk when they could fly and cut the crossing over down by loads

I hadn't noticed a lot of them at any one time, but they have had a long season, much like most of the insects.
They could have been a mass hatching and they are newly emerged

I saw loads on a sign yesterday - they creep me out! Especially when they fly towards you!

Yes! I have noticed the same - there is a ladybird explosion round here. I was also going to ask but you beat me to it!

We get rather nasty ladybirds here that bite - like ants do. Horrid things.

We went to the beach Monday and there was swarms of them being washed up from the sea. Some were barely alive and others were dead.
Why would they be in the sea in those quantities?
