If it's in a rescue how does the rescue actually know what the parents were ?? I know one rescue who had what was described as a collie cross staffy signed over to them-the dog was actually a rather nice brindle Cardigan Corgi !! the owners who signed it over bought it off a well known puppy site !!

Here's his info:

Ernie was an owner surrender into our local pound due to increased work commitments of his owners. Although Ernie is in the main a lovely little dog he does need a home with dog experience and someone around all of most of the time. At the kennels he can be very excitable and does mouth quite hard when the volunteers go in to take him out for his walk. Due to this we feel a home with children no younger than 16 in residence or visiting regularly would be in his and their best interests.

Out and about Ernie walks relatively well and interacts happily with the other dogs. He can be a little pushy with a couple of the other males if he feels they are getting too far in his face. Ernie is NOT CAT FRIENDLY. His ideal home would be with a couple able to give him plenty of time and tlc BUT be aware and firm with him also as we feel if given too much attention he could easily develop separation anxiety. If he were to be rehomed with another dog a middle aged bitch would be preferable.

Although Ernie is still in kennels he does try to keep his kennel relatively clean. We have seen a little stress reaction in there but this is now settling down. Ernie is a lovely dog who just needs time, training and plenty of consistency and someone committed enough to realize he may need work to begin with. Ernie travels well and settles when travelling easily.

Ernie is vaccinated, kennel cough vaccinated, treated for parasites, microchipped, neutered and has received a full dental. For more information or to offer Ernie a home in the first instance please complete the pre adoption questionnaire below…. http://www.greyhoundgap.com/homing-a...-questionnaire
