Sticky Feet...

We have a large pine tree in our garden and it leaks sticky sap...our dogs love to play under it but they come into the house with alot of the sticky sap stuck to their feet and most of the time even their pads are stuck together. Does anyone know a good way of removing it without hurting the dogs feet..we have tried soaking their feet in warm water with dog shampoo but it's really stubborn to remove...all advice appreciated. Thanks

Oh dear!

Sounds like they have fun though!

I take it the hair from the pads is kept trimmed?

You could invest in wee doggie boots for them when they are out playing under the tree, or newborn baby mitts kept on their paws with a bobble (hair band).

I'm really not sure what you could do apart from fence round the tree so they cannot get under it, however that would spoil their fun!
