As we get older

Do we suffer more from mild illnesses like colds?

I don't remember needing time off before when I had colds but this last two colds have knocked me completely flat. So I figure either it's cause I'm 2 stone overweight, I'm run down, or cause I've got older.

I'm only 40 so I don't think I'm ancient and decrepit yet but at the same time I really wonder....

Not me, I hardly ever get colds (there's that old kiss of death for you!)

I ache a lot though and groan when I bend down.....

i dont think its your age, as i have noticed this with many people in recent years regardless of their age,

I don't think it's getting older - both my children are getting frequent colds. My daughter is generally really healthy, good food, exercise and fresh air, but has suffered since starting school - she seems to have an awful cough a lot of the time, although it doesn't get her down. My little lad probably picks his up from her but seems to suffer more with it.

No. I am ancient but rarely get anything. Mind you, I`ve worked with kids for many years so probably am immune to everything by now...
I think you may need to cosset yourself for a while.
