sorry Steve, I missed this thread yesterday ...so difficult to find new posts at the moment. I remember Abe, and the stories you told of him, and of course the shock when you lost him. You had a fabulous six years with him though, some incredible memories, which as time goes by are easier to remember with happiness rather than sadness. And funnily enough I always look on Vegas as Abes legacy to you......

I missed this too yesterday. I'm so sorry Steve, yesterday must of been a hard day for you. I understand how you feel about leaving him at the vets, we took my dog Penny to the vets for what was thought to be an exploratory operation, it turned out that she had a cancerous tumour that was starting to eat her stomach, so was not brought back round as she would of been in too much pain. The shock and pain of not saying goodbye to her was terrible so I know how you felt.

We have to remember the good lives and times we have wiht our dogs and that we did our best for them, and for all its so sad they are free from pain and suffering.
