My Old Boy is struggling

Laddie my 14 y.o. shorthair is struggling a bit - last night he got himself wedged in the garden when he fell over. Luckily I heard him crying but he was cold and upset. Now he doesn`t go out unless we`re about, which isn`t hard because I have 2 sons living with me so we all keep an eye on him. He`s totally deaf and practically blind and a bit rickety on the pins but there`s absolutely nothing wrong with his appetite. Or his voice. I`m hoping he`ll last out till the Spring but probably not
This is him in his prime (he was a rescue aged 5 when I got him) doing what he loved must - hunting.

Cuddles from the gang hun. I remember well when our poor girl Meg needed help down the back step to the garden, I had to stay with her too, as she was blind. It's heartbreaking to them come to this, but you know they are really loved.

Hi Claire ..they ask so little these oldies, just a warm bed and the touch of a soft hand.
Lots of hugs to Laddie, I do love the oldies... xxx
