I thought one of us should make the effort so I am doing Beef in Guiness with dumplings and Haagen Daz Cookies & Cream ice-cream for dessert. I got him a card.

I got nowt, but he has got to that stage in life where he doesn't buy cards anyway (how come when you first go out you get padded cards...remember them? Also flowers bought "just because") Hell, I can't remember the last time I got flowers it was so long ago!!

I have to say when he eventually does get pressies, they are very nice ones, so will let him off for now.

OH and I are saving for a house at the mo, so nothing spectacular

But since I work at M+S we bought the 'valentines dine in 2 for £20' thing. Starter, Main, Side, Dessert, Rose/Chcolates (CHOCOLATES OBVIOUSLY I don't like roses.) and a bottle of wine.

Which with my staff discount only came to £16! Bargain.

I got 2 beautiful teddies, a bunch of red roses, a single red rose, and a cup in the shape of a heart

We don't buy presents for Valentines, but we do buy cards so that was lovely, and I'm about to cook a nice lunch now, and we have a bottle of our favourite champagne in the fridge for later.

My OH bought me the most fabulous gift. They are practical, beautiful and I will use them every day.

OH has been away this weekend and doesn't get back til 4 today but I know he has got me something cause he has been like a big kid with a secret since last week. I have had to stop him giving me whatever it is or telling me where it is hidden all week.
I have got him aftershave and am cooking him something special tonight. I might even put on a dress if he is lucky
