food for weight gain

im having real trouble putting weight on ripley.
im not sure of her actual weight but shes 15 weeks and does need to put on quite a bit, shes fed 4 times a day and she is a real gannet- she would eat whatever is put down for her but shes fed dry kibble and doesnt seem to be putting weight on

being a collie shes always on the go.

any ideas what i could add to her food? i was thinking raw tripe?
i dont really want to change her food as apart from being a little skinny she is doing well on it and loves it.

I do use tripe for putting weight on dogs, but would suggest worming her if she hasn't been done lately first.

What are you feeding her? and how much?

My 12-13 week old Slovak is a skinny minnie (very ribby!) and eats roughly 300 grams of dry a day with a bit of Naturediet...any more and it seems to go in one end and out the other!

ribs showing slightly but id just like her to have a little more of a covering.

she has seen the vet, for checkup etc and he says she's fine and its just because she is on the go all the time!

Do you crate her during the day at all? Pups need their rest time at such an early age and this enforces it if you have an active pup.

she is crated overnight and also for 1 hour at lunchtime whilst she has her dinner and rests and then the same in the late afternoon with her dinner.

hi
i know your problem well
are her stools ok?
if she is on a GOOD quality food and has been wormed,i would relax.weight will come with age, puppys are laying down their good gut bacteria and playing around with food is not a good idea.at her age she should be lanky rather than have a good covering
good luck with your 'whirling derlish' oops sorry border collie
