Buying a new puppy?

Then I suggest you have a look through this website first and make sure you carry out some serious investigation into where your puppy is coming from.

http://www.dogs-r-us.org/undercover.shtml

Also, don't forget that you can get a list of health checks your chosen breed is required to have and check the name of the dam/sire here - http://www.the-kennel-club.org.uk/se...h/Default.aspx

Anyone else, feel free to add your advice/suggestions/comments.

Sorry, I prob didn't make it clear.

I was hoping to get this on to a thread so that any newcomers might see it when researching buying a puppy.

I think this is important and perhaps we could ask Azz if we could have some sort of sticky? Or even something on the homepage with advice about puppy purchasing?

Oh I know about Shadowboxers article, I wanted to link people to this video story. I couldn't see it on there.

Seeing it for themselves might make them think twice about where the pup comes from.

I think one really comprehensive sticky would be a great idea. That's an interestng link Pidge. It's such a problem and I think you're right - the forum needs some really in-your-face advice for people that might come here before they buy and perhaps not even post.

I've been trying to 'educate' on a Kerry Katona fan forum - trying to get the message across without getting thrown off the forum - it's hard!
