Dog fouling help

Hi,

We have a Lakeland terrier (bitch) Holly and she is 6 years old. She never really fouls in the house but lately in the last week she as pooed 5 times even though she as been out. What causes a dog to start fouling like this? Should she see a vet?

Thanks
Darryl

Hi Darryl I agree 100% with Kruise, any sudden change in behaviour should be taken seriously and investigated .

If I may add one small point . Do you take Holly out or let her out alone? It may help to take her out for a short walk at regular intervals preferably to a place frequented by other dogs to help her to relieve herself (and of course pick it up) and give her lots of praise when she 'goes'.

Assuming you havent changed anything - her routine or yours, how long she is left alone, her diet, her family etc, then I would suggest you take her to the vets for a check over.
