Meet beautiful Rhia!
Rhia has sadly come back into our care due to a change in her owners circumstances and is presently in a short term foster home.
She found her way into Staffordshire Rescue Scotland’s care when she was a pup as she had a sad start to her young life and was found being abused by her owner.
Rhia is now 8 months old, full of life and a happy & affectionate dog.
She is not a full Staffordshire Bull Terrier but has other special ingredients in her genetics i.e. possibly whippet.
Rhia is great with children & people – she lived with 3 children from aged 3 to 8 years of age but due to her enthusiastic nature would be best suited to live with children 5+. She walks well on the lead and her recall is generally good. She loves other dogs but can be exciteable in her greetings. She is fine being left home alone for a few hours.
She would benefit from an active home as she enjoys her walks and someone who has the time to devote to further training & socialisation. She is a bright girl and is quick to learn and could be an agility/flyball star of the future!
She is speyed, vaccinated, wormed & microchipped.

UPDATE:
has not long returned from a somewhat cold and snowy walk with the lovely Rhia, who is our 8 month old pup ( cross staffie) currently in foster, and in need of a new longer term foster or forever home before Christmas if possible.... She is a lively bouncy 8 month old, who loves toys, a good chew, cuddles anyones lap and to kiss you mid conversation ! Yuk... She was very good with my 5 yr old and 16 month old kids and was a lot calmer in the house with the 16 month old than the last time we were there, so she could live with a dog savvy younger child. She does have a tendency to pull when out but this just needs worked on, she needs basic training, but did settle down after a while on our walk although am convinced that she is crossed with a meerkat as she rears up on her hind legs to peek over hedges - hilarious !! She actually walked better beside the buggy.
She is interested in other dogs but isn't bothered by them, walked happily past an offload boxer who was very keen on sniffing her bottom, but she just kept on going. She also put up very well with our dog Bruno who doesn't like other dogs and ignored his sometimes persistent barking!
Rhia would suit an active home with people who have time to spend on her basic training, she would make a great agility dog in time, as she definitely is part whippet or similar as she can sure run !!!
All in all she will make a great family pet with a little work put in and we would love to find someone willing to do that asap.

Rhia is currently in a wonderful long term foster, and is thoroughly enjoying playing with her new dog friend !!!

Rhia's foster fell in love and she is now in a permanent home with a lovely boyfriend too..
