PATSY - 3 Year Old - FEMALE GREYHOUND

Prepare to fall head over heels for 'ooooh so sweet' Patsy, a beautiful black girl with a pretty white bib, just 3 years of age and measuring approximately 26" to the shoulder. Patsy was used for racing on un-registered 'flapping' tracks in the North East and we are very lucky to have her safe and sound.

Location: Currently in kennels in Suffolk. Patsy would benefit hugely by living in a foster home while she waits for her forever home.
Key Points: Just the prettiest little girl, very sweet, timid and shy, a little submissive but very playful with other dogs, good on the lead and in the car, loves a gentle cuddle.

~ Personality ~
Little Patsy is an absolute poppet who loves a gentle cuddle although she is shy and timid. She is very puppyish in many ways and has the most adorable expressions which make your heart melt. She is submissive with other dogs but this doesn't put her off asking them to play with her!

~ In the Home ~
Sadly Patsy hasn't yet experienced being in a home environment but should learn the ropes fairly quickly with the guidance of a patient loving family and some nice treats. It generally takes hounds 10-14 days to start to settle in a home, and really all they need is time and patience.

~ Other Animals ~
Patsy has been good with dogs of all sizes so far.

~ Out and About ~
Patsy loves her walks and is good both on the lead and in the car. Like most greyhounds, Patsy will not need a huge amount of exercise. She will be content with two 30+ minute walks and some garden play time each day and perhaps a chance to stretch her legs off lead in a safe area away from public roads and livestock once or twice a week.

~ Greyhounds as Pets ~
In general greyhounds are calm, mannerly dogs that are well used to being handled. They can fit very well in to a wide range of different lifestyles and usually adjust to the home life very quickly. Their soft, easy going nature often makes them ideal to live in a family environment, while their love of lazing around and low exercise requirements can make them perfect for the retired. Greyhounds also don’t shed as much as other more popular dog breeds and this can make them suitable to live with allergy sufferers.

~ Where Can I Live? ~
We feel Patsy would be happiest in an active family environment as she is so young in her personality and with at least one or more gentle canine companions to show her the ropes and of course play with her! She can be homed anywhere in the UK provided we have a home checker available, but please note that you will be required to travel to Norfolk to meet and collect her. Please also note we normally home dogs to families with children aged of 8 years and over but feel that because Patsy is timid she would be happier living with teenagers as noisy children would frighten her.

~ Where Am I? ~
Patsy is currently in kennels in Suffolk. She would benefit so very much from a chance to live in a foster home and Kerry Greyhounds UK is always eager for new foster volunteers. It is an extremely rewarding experience and costs are covered by us.

~ Want To Adopt Me? ~
Patsy will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, deflead and wormed and a home check will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

If you are interested in adopting Patsy, please contact me (Bronwen) via email: bronwen@kerrygreyhounds.co.uk, or you can speak to me directly by phoning: 075 000 62648.

There is an application form for adopting a Kerry Greyhound, and we will ask you to fill it in as the first step in the adoption process. To speed up this process, we recommend you do this before emailing/calling. You can find the form, as well as further information on our homing procedures, on the Adoption Page.

Thank you.
