Best brush for a Westie?

Hi, everyone.
I need a new brush for my one year old westie. He has a lovely coat but the brush i currently have isn't up to much.
I was looking at the slicker type.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks

Hi, I am a groomer and I use a slicker for just about every breed and coat type. Slickers are by far the best type of brush IMO. You should use a comb after brushing too, to make sure you got any tangles out. When using a slicker, only apply as much pressure as you would when stroking your dog. The mistake most people make is pressing on too hard, and as Westies don't have a thick coat the skin can get sore.

Thanks for the reply.
Would a metal or soft pin brush be best?
