I remember all of those things too except the mother bit having had a stepmother who made Snowhite's look like a saint
Most of all I remember the freedom..going off all day down the fields and no one worried about us..there were no strangers in our village and the only person to have a car was the Doctor

Flying saucer's my favorite DD

All 5 of us as kids would go off over the dunes by ourselves and play hide & seek for hours. Or catch the bus to the beach and play amongst the rockpools chasing each other and then settling down with a HUGE ice-cream or a bag of chips

Those days are long gone now

Do you still get Walnut Whips and Sherbet Lemons in the UK? (she asks rather wistfully).

You can still get walnut whips but they are so small now, or at least they seem small. I used to bite the top off and lick out the creamy stuff.

I think they're smaller too DD So is the Blackjacks, fruit salads and Flying Saucers.

Does anyone remember that Space dust stuff. It used to HURT now it fizzes on your tongue There was also Spangles (in various different flavours) and Toffo's.

I used to love Bazooka bubble gum. I used to put that many of them in my mouth, I nearly choked on the stuff
