Two sets of testicles?

Has my dog got two sets of testes? I have noticed that sometimes he has to lumps half way up his penis, they are not always there but upon examination of him when the lumps are visible his testicles are still in his scrotum.

It might sound silly but I am confused and wondered whether or not a vet should be consulted?

Thanks in advance for your help.

There is no need to consult a vet, it is perfectly normal

The lumps you are feeling are his bulbus glandis, not a second set of testicles. When a male dog is aroused then these swell up (their purpose is to hold the male dog inside the bitch once they have mated, thus achieving a 'tie').

So your dog is just getting a little over excited.

Don't worry you are not the only person who has asked this question as has been said this is absolutely normal.

Last year kai was on my bed and i was smoothing him. Suddenly panicked as I could see extra lumps. Next day they were gone Me thinks he could have enjoyed that tum tickle a bit too much
