TW...in all honesty, go with the steroids, worry about the weight when she is feeling better, did he indicate what he thought could be wrong? I know there is an immune thingy...immune hemolytic anaemia or something

Not sure of the ins and outs and daren't read up on it. Will steroids make her bone marrow produce red blood cells. I am so scared for my beautiful little girl, she deserves better. Having a cry now because got to go out with their tea and pretend its OK and nothing to worry about. I'm hoping there is a workable solution to this so she doesn't have to follow her mother so soon. Heartbreaking.

Yes TW, steroids do boost red cell numbers, athletes who are naughty often use anabolic steroids to increase red blood cells...it's called blood boosting in that usage. He will most likely give a short course and recheck the blood levels to see if there's an improvement

If it reassures you at all, my dads rbc was.3 when his was picked up....thats really really bad but he is o.k now just by using iron supplements..they don't know what causes it with him but he is doing o.k. There is a thing with spleens too where they remove too many red blood cells and the body can't keep up with production, finding the cause is the real pain

There is information out there June. I haven't posted any links because until you actually know what is causing it some of the information may not relate to kesh plus didn't want you reading information if you're not ready.
Not sure what the steroids would do exactly maybe a conversation to have with the vet ?

Van on the drive but not in the place they intended. They had moved the car to the spot the van use to be in, the van started to sink so they should of filled it with hardcore and put paving slabs down or concrete. It was easier for it to be parked on the drive.
So car back in it's original space and van back in it's original place. Hoping they sort the sinking problem before it gets to wet and we end up back at square one.
