I have prickler strips on parts of my fencing. They are plastic and are not sharp - won't pierce skin. They are just really uncomfortable/painful if someone tries to pull themselves over the fence where it is fitted. Also stops cats walking on the fence.

The pigeons have now learned how to land on them now - took about 4 months of landing & falling off before they sussed it
