bogus plumber

well all credit to my son who sent a so called plumber packing ......I went out for 10 mins this morning when i got back my son said a bloke with no van and no tools knocked the door and said he had come to fix our leaking kitchen tap !!!!!!! son told him i was out and the man insisted on coming in ....my son sent him packing and shut the door ...he said man was tall grade 1 haircut and no ID badge

I have informed the police ...

Ooh er.
this seems to be a new thing that people seem to be doing now, i dont understand hwy theuy just cant get out and do a good days work instead of trying to swindle honest people out of their money and belongings, shamefull.
i heard a very similar thing happened to someone up the road from us a few weeks ago.
At least your son never fell into the trap, u should be extra nice to him today Inca

odd as i rarely go out lol ....had to got to the post office and it was 2 mins after i left......

i do have neighbours who's houses are council but as i told the police they should still carry ID and mine does not look like a council house .

Well Done to your son Inca. But isn't it a shame that things have come to this. My grandchildren are not allowed to answer the telephone if mum and dad are out. They dial 1471 and if it is our number then they call us back What a sad world when our children aren't safe in their own home!!
