***Deleted Picture files****

I was showing my in-laws how to upload pics from digi camera to pc last night.....when to my horror I found several of my Holiday picture files empty!!!
The folders are there but the contents have gone....

MY daughter said "Oh that may of been me, and left the room".....

She had been removing LimeWire, which she used for her Ipod.

Well I have searched everywhere, I am unable to find these photo's anywhere.....and NO I never back up with a copy....never needed it in all the years I have had a pc.

HELP...I have been into the Recycle bin, searched here and there..are they gone forever???? or is my teenager safe??

Search in Google for a program called Zero Assumption, run it, it will find the missing photos even if they've been deleted, I use it often.....lol.

Ok, just found the site: http://www.z-a-recovery.com/download.htm

Personally, what I do, is back up all my data (Not a complete b/up, just the important stuff.) onto my 2nd hard drive using archiving software. I guess you could do the same with something like Winzip, maybe even just have compressed backup copies of the directories where you keep your photos, on the same HD.

It does sound like they are GONE, unless you can use what CC suggested to recover them...

NO.......Still have been unable to retrieve all my holiday photo's, after using Crazycockers link and royv. I did a system restore, did everything. I found the folders, and when the cursor sits over them it gives the content value but when opened nothing!!! completely empty.

I will have to get someone to take a look inside the hard drive.
