So sorry to hear about your 2 ratties. Run free little ones

Unfortunately, it seems to be such a frequent thing when you own any number of rats. I seem to live at the vets between my ratties and Bear

Some photos of my current ratkids.

Amelie - blazed siamese - here so I can foster her litter

Anais - here to keep her cagemate company as he's going to be Dad to Amelie's babies. She is the biggest and most beautiful doe I've ever seen.

Disney - Anais' cagemate and hopefully going to be Dad to Amelie's brood if she ever comes into season lol. He is also Solo and Simba's Dad

Solo, a mismarked BEW boy - absolute stunner. Love him muchly

Simba, a capped/masked mink merley boy - absolutely stunning boy and so naughty. Solo's brother.

Bruno, siamese (not quite dark enough to be seal point though??) boy. He's a rescue baby and sooooo naughty.

Merlin, my baby self black. He was bred by a friend, and returned at 10 weeks as he was too nervous He's a very shy boy, but coming round in his own time. I've only had him a fortnight.

All are there except for my old silver fawn hoody boy Woody. He's gotta be over 30 months old now and loves his cagemates. He was a rescue too and so nervy and damaged he couldn't socialise with other rats and would freeze for up to an hour at times through fear if another rat came near him. He would do the same with people and just shut down.
After a year of understanding cagemates and lots of space and time, he now loves to get his treats off you, is not scared of people any longer and most times is very good with other rats. All the intros were done with Woody in mind with the motto, if it's okay with Woody, it's okay with me.
I shall really miss this boy when his time comes

I love rats, sadly there were none in the rescue centre when we went... BUT we did come back with a gerbil and a mouse!

Hopefully when we move house we can get a pair of rats!

Another ratty lover here!!

We have been keeping them for 6 years and have been owned by more than 40 rats over that time. Now we only have four left, two eleven month old girls and two rescue boys, who are about two years.

We have decided that after these four go, we are going to have a break, which we really, really aren't looking forward to. But we just feel it's time after keeping them so long without a break. Although we're going to miss them being around soooooo much, it will be nice to be able to have nights away/holidays etc without having to worry about leaving the rats....We haven't had a night away, (because of not wanting to leave the rats), for about four years. Also, we have really had a hell of a lot of heartache over the years of having rats and think we need to have a break from that too. Really dreading when any of the last four go, especially when we face the likely prospect of having just one rat left.

Anyway, lovely ratty pics everyone! I have thousands on the computer and wouldn't be able to choose which ones to put on here, so I will just look at yours instead!
