Newbie

Hi!
Very very new to this site and a very soon to be new dog owner. Her name is Bailey and shes mix bor collie and hound. House trained. I am taking her home this week but will be going on 3 week vacation mid sept. My daughter wants to take her while i am away but will this confuse and agitate Bailey since she's just settled into my home and will be sent to a diff place again for the next 3 weeks. She is 2 1/2 years old.
Any advise please?

Welcome Ann.
I understand your concerns. Would your daughter come to stay in your house to look after Bailey. That might be a better solution.

Welcome newbie!
Nippy's idea sounds like a very good solution.

Another thought - could you take Bailey on vacation with you?
Ours is a collie and goes with us everywhere.

And, just another thought......
The timing doesn't seem right or maybe just unfortunate circumstances.
Could the existing keeper hang on to Bailey until you are back from vacation?

What is the alternative to your daughter taking her?
