Looks like you had a great time - and reasonable weather too (always a bonus in the Lakes!)

I love the one of Ben sitting half on your knee on the boat

And how did Stuart get in with the Lemurs? (are they lemurs?)

Hali, yes they are Lemurs, they pretty much have a free run of the park, so every where you go there are lemurs!, and there is also a feeding time at 3pm where some of the lemurs are allowed to be fed fruit by visitors.

Ben wasn't too keen on the boat so mums knee was the safest place!!

We stayed at Spark Bridge just outside Coniston and will definitely go back again. It was our 2nd bisit to the lakes. And I think your dad had very wise words

Ooh Spark Bridge, not far from where I was born and grew up!

Your photos evoke all sorts of memories for me

Glad you had a good holiday Lynne.

Funny BenMc, I don't think Lakeland feels Scottish at all. Perhaps it is because I grew up there, but I think it has a very different "feel" to Scotland. Can't explain myself very well though
