Dog Behaviourist

Can anyone recommend a dog Behaviourist in the Lancashire area (Preston).
I have a friend with an agressive GSD (dog agressive), and she's really needing some help with her.

The GSD has attacked her other dog who has died from the injuries.
She has always been fine with her other dogs before, and she has no idea what the trigger was

I met a behaviourist in Oldham (N. Manchester) which isn't too far.

She was good - very proffessional and thorough with her questions.

I've just recently started training with Bailiie at Deb Gornall's training centre but I know she does deal with behavioural issues as well. She's based in Goosenargh and so far we are loving it. Good luck.
Do you think maybe the GSD could have an underlying illness? Sometimes this can make them react in a way they haven't before
Hope your friend manages to get to the bottom of the problem.

Cath Phillps, not sure how much behavioural work she is doing at the mo as I think she is doing her doctorate at Linclon?

I would thoroughly recommend she contacts Martin Brennan www.chorleydogman.com he has been a great help with my 2 and is experienced with GSD's.

The website has no info on it as he's not a techy guy but he is a very good dog trainer who I can personally vouch for.

I think a behaviourist or a veterinary behaviourist is required here rather than a dog trainer, there is a difference.

Sorry just my turn of phrase. He is a dog behaviourist specialising in rescues.
