Smelly feet

Hi
My puppy has recently had very smelly feet, I'm asuming it is to do with the warmer weather and his feet sweating on his walks.
But is there anything I can do to help? any thing I can use to resduce the smell, giving him a bath seems to make no difference.

Thank you

Are you sure it's his feet that smell as I quite like smelling my dogs feet!

Ha ha, I didnt choose to smell the feet, i got a foot up the nose while I was relaxing on the sofa. thats when I realised the smell I was smelling was not his coat at all, infact his fur has no bad sent to it at all. Just the smelly feet, hee hee

All of my dogs feet smell a little like biscuits or puppy breath type of smell, I think the only thing you can do is was the feet regularly if they smell that bad, I dont feel dogs feet have the same problem as humans because if I am correct they dont carry the same bacteria on their feet as humans do to cause a smell.

Hi Gemz you are correct, dogs do have smelly feet, they have sweat glands in their pads .

I quite like the smell , if you don't you could try wiping the pads with dog wipes (or baby wipes ),these are slightly greasy and shouldn't harm the pads or dry them out too much.

I don't purposely sniff Woody's feet, but I do love getting a waft. Doritos for sure!!
