Daily Thread, Wednesday, 13th December

Good Morning all, thank God there is only just over a week of the days getting shorter, getting fed up with darker and darker mornings.

Hope you are all ok this morning and Gill and Peter are more comfortable now. Hope Dillon is ok and managed to get a tree.

Hope Casey and Lara are ok as yourselves too Harvey.

Not bothering with decorations at all this year! There's enough rubbish around with all Steve's fishing junk.

Have a good day all, take care, stay warm and dry and above all safe and well. God bless.

Morning Moyra and all who follow.

Wet and cold today I am preferring that to icy though especially as Mark is back at work and has some horrible back roads to travel.

Peter went to see Gill she has no broken bones but they are very worried about this persistent infection they are trying to get under control. Peter feels it's the tumour that they had been told about pressing on the bladder causing the problems. She is refusing a catheter and insisting on getting out of bed to go to the toilet which is possibly every 5 minutes.
Oncologist paying her a visit today they are also still testing for why her temp is so high and blood pressure so low. Temp is more than likely connected to the infection.
Will know more on Thursday after Peter has visited again. Also when she may be home we are thinking not until certain things are in place in the house now. She is also being assessed by an occupational therapist at some point.
Peter said she is really not a happy bunny and saying if they let me home to lie on my sofa I will lie there and get better. He told her that's what she had been doing and it hadn't worked.
Must be very frightening for her knowing what is causing all this and now there is no more treatment forthcoming that this is the start of the end.

We didn't get a tree Moyra we do have one just fancied a new one the other one is a bit old but to be honest wasn't really in the mood. Was good to get out though.

Off out to meet Elaine today for lunch.

Harvey hope Casey gets on ok Thursday and good he managed a walk and with less resting.

Hope everyone is well today and all four legged friends are to.

Good morning Moyra, Lynn and all who follow

Pleased the floor has been done and you are pleased with it Moyra.

Gill is in the best place as you know Lynn and hopefully they will find out the cause and be able to ease her symptoms and also get everyone else to get their finger out and get the work done that needs to be done. Hugs to you all

Hope everyone two and four legged are keeping well

Managed to get out for my early walk but it started to rain half way and has not stopped since. Chicken stew in slow cooker, yum. Barry has the dentist at lunch time as he has broken a tooth so better to get it looked at now than wait and have problems over Christmas.

Have a good day and stay safe.

Morning all

The rain over night has cleared majority of loose snow, the compacted where people have walked and driven is still there but hopefully when the sun comes out and a bit more rain we should be sorted.

When I changed the beds yesterday I realised I had not put Moms winter quilt on when I mentioned it to he she said "did not notice" but this morning she said "Oh I was warm as a bug in a rug last night"

See I never change mine its a 4.5 tog all year..........Mom has 7.5 and a 15 tog.

Anyhow all good now just waiting for the better weather for the sheets to go out Thur/Fri otherwise will be tumble dryer.

Moyra no news on the move yet? you sound a bit down.

Lynn enjoy your lunch and I think Gill is in the right place just not the place she wants to be must being hard having a strong will and sense of purpose but your body is letting you down.........

Yes, Kazz, have been depressed for some time now and my feet are killing me. I have ordered a new winter coat off line, it came and because I had lost so much weight it swamped me so am sending it back and getting the size smaller. Am still waiting for those specialist shoes for my poor feet.

I hope you are losing weight for the right reasons?
Footwear.....
We got ours at GoOutdoors. They are trekkers and the fabric is Gortex. They cope with the poor weather and are waterproof. A bit pricey but they are so comfortable I keep telling my dear wife I'd wear them to bed if I could..........but "she who must be obeyed".............
