Rally Obedience?

Anyone have good sites for this?
Also, dont seem to be many classes/clubs?
What are the main rules, differences etc to OB and if youve done this - got any pics ?

and just interested to hear what people thought of it....

Normal Ob wee bit boring for us and Loui isnt a fan of agility. He loves trick training though and changing etc so may be something we'd like...

Should have said any clubs in Scotland

Me and my dog betty do rally! (as she is to 'sturdy' n slow for agility and not good enough for obedience (although she does have her gold kc good dog citizen!)

Rally is perfect for us! We go to classes at our dog club every week, we can set our own courses ect, once the 'signs' are known, its easy to get going! I even printed my own signs (from the TD website) and laminated them, so we can set courses up at home and practise!

Dont have any piccys, but will take the camera along to our next class in the new year!
we compete against our own best scores, rather than each other, and it is a sport that isnt done at speed, so suitable to all!

Chad & I did our 1st Rally last Month (the last one of the year to be held) & we aced it ....so we're now on the TD Rally rankings lis.
The Dog doesn't have to be in a strict heelwork position & you can treat between stations...the aim is to show teamwork between Dog & handler.
We love it & are looking forward to the next one in February.

Oh I wanted to do this too! I asked some friends who are trainers and behaviourists but they hadn't heard of it. Perhaps there is a site somewhere like there is for agility classes where they are all listed?

Thanks for your posts, everyone.

Yep, I think its quite new but I cant seem to find any clubs, competitions or shows to do with rally here. It looks good fun! I think Loui would really like it!

Here is a video of Moxie and I demonstrating a very very basic pre-beginners course for a Rally class I taught.

Note, novice is onlead, higher classes are offlead.
