A lady I was the sole carer for couldn't swallow without choking so was terrified all the time. She stopped eating and drinking altogether and rapidly grew week. She stayed at home for about 4 days more the last 2 days on intravenous morphine and was then transferred to the hospice where she died later that day.
Her mind was still with it to the end and it was her choice to stop eating and drinking, very hard for me to watch though as I had grown so close to her.
So I really feel for you and send you loads of big hugs as I know what you are going through. Hopefully now food and water are being witheld the end won't be far away and she can be at peace and re-united with yor dad.

I know none of your knew her, but I wanted to share this. She's the most wonderful woman. Here she is running the Race For Life last year in memory of my dad, only two months after her own cancer operation. I'm so proud of her

What a great thing to do so soon after her operation, you are right to be so proud of her. You are going to be left with so many wonderful and loving memories of her and they will bring comfort to you.

I don't think it's weird at all, I hope she has a peaceful passing. Hope you're holding up OK too. How is Cain managing, has he settled down a bit better with Liam?
