Returns on EBay

Is there a standard policy for returning good on EBay or is it down to the seller's discretion? I mean what if you buy something on PayPal and are not impressed with the quality when you get it, do they have to give you a refund?

Ah - just found the answer - it's down to the seller, right?

Yes LS, it's the sellers responsibility to sort out returns etc. I think you might find that the larger the seller, the more inclined they are to sort something out as a negative feedback could be very damaging to them.

First step I would say is to email the seller and see what respnose you get

I would e-mail the seller first but if its really not what you expected I think you can reverse the payment with paypal -the paypal protection is always in favour of the buyer but I'd try and sort it amicably first

I received the wrong item JUST before Christmas but I didn't realise until after I left good feedback. I emailed the seller (a power seller) and explained, he was very good and we sent back the item and got a replacement without a problem

Refund policies differ from seller to seller - however, if as in Nemosmummys case you were given the wrong item I think Ebay will step in on your behalf. In this case I would contact Ebay and tell them of the situation if you get no joy from the seller.
